The Ski Area
The Forêt Blanche ski area, shared between Risoul and Vars, stretches between 1,650 and 2,750 metres in altitude, peaking at the Pic de Chabrières. It offers 185 km of slopes served by 35 ski lifts, making it one of the largest ski areas in the Southern Alps.
With over 83% of the area above 2,000 metres and an extensive snowmaking network, La Forêt Blanche guarantees high-quality snow throughout the season. Skiing is suited to all levels, alternating between larch forests, wide-open high-altitude areas and 360° panoramas over the Écrins, Queyras, Mont Viso and Mont-Blanc.
Why choose Risoul?
Risoul offers a sunny and welcoming mountain experience, shaped by its exceptional natural setting, family-friendly atmosphere and landscape-integrated architecture. The resort combines high-altitude skiing, top-quality snow and the warm hospitality of the Southern Alps.
The panoramic views over the surrounding massifs — Écrins, Queyras, Lac de Serre-Ponçon — are fully part of the experience.
