The resort of Cambre d'Aze
Created in 1990 from the merger of the Eyne and Saint-Pierre-dels-Forcats ski areas, Cambre d'Aze sits beneath an imposing glacial cirque, in the heart of the Catalan Pyrenees Regional Nature Park.
The two villages guarding its entrances have kept their character: local producers, farmers and stockbreeders, neighbourhood shops. The Eyne national nature reserve, known for its flora, is a short walk away.
Resort information
The ski area
The ski area rises from 1,640 to 2,400 metres across two sectors linked at altitude. The Eyne base, at 1,780 metres, enjoys particularly reliable snow cover.
Twenty-three runs sheltered from the wind by pine forest, two beginner zones, two sledging areas, a free-ride zone, snowshoe trails and an ice climbing fall round out the offer.
Why choose Cambre d'Aze?
It is the closest ski area to Perpignan, around an hour and a quarter away by road, and the first you reach coming up from the plain.
On a clear day the view from the pistes takes in the Carlit massif, the Cerdagne, Spain and the Mediterranean beyond.
